Endless winter

Endless Winter

Post-Saturday AM run - showing off stylish workout clothes.

Here Dad, enjoy this basket, it will help you with your situps.

Addy loves to sit on you, lie down on you, crawl on you, lean against you.

Baby bench press.

Making dinner during Women's Conference.

Dressed up by Dad to go watch the ducks.

Trying to get a picture of her carrying around her blanket, but turned into a picture of a sad baby who wanted to hold the camera.

Lynne carries her blanket around the apartment sometimes too.  Not sure why, but the house has been cold this week, maybe it's just all the white stuff out the window?

St. Patty's Day and Maple Syrup Hike

Cooking in style

This is a face we are getting more and more

St. Patrick's day dinner! (shamrock egg in pepper  was my favorite)

Homemade pizza crust, homemade mozzarella--all we need to do now is grow the vegetables and grind the wheat. Kit is a pro at making pizzas.

New sun hat

 Seriously, mom?

cheesy smile

Distrustful

Now I'm okay with it!

Hat hair!

Ready for the maple syrup hike

Sugar maple sap--looks and taste like water. Each tree provides around 1 gallon a day.

Where they boil the sap down to the syrup

Family selfie: Attempt 1

Attempt 2

Attempt 3

If you look closely, you'll see my noble attempt at pigtails in Addy's hair. I do not understand how anyone can successfully do baby girl hair.

It took a lot to distract her enough to get these pigtails in and they only lasted a few minutes!

Spring Sprang Sprung

Pre-church power nap for the little ballerina

Still-packaged football is the favorite toy this week

You get a food "travelogue" this week too, just for fun. This is creamy pasta with chicken and veggies (from Cooking Light)

We spend a lot of time in this chair

Sweet and sour chicken/veggies, with baby bok choy

Salmon burgers with homemade sweet potato fries

Spring means swinging!

Pesto pasta with salad and roasted beets

At Mariano's, our grocery store. Check out the baby grand piano on the right. Someone is playing about half the time. Mariano's is fancy!

The melted out path behind our building

Just kidding, I can walk on my own, dad!

This is the box that we keep downstairs so that we can carry our groceries up from the car in one load. Addy calls it her reading nook. Notice what book she's reading, dad?

There's a better view.

Got this on Friday--such a happy cover. I really love spring and everything about it, including lemon bars.

Some good chicken and spinach ravioli from Mariano's.

Independence grove playground

Chasing game up and down the ramp

Making the award-winning pie!

Finished product

Side view--this thing's the real deal.

Ouchie Addy got from the party

Two spring pillows on the right

Pillows I got for our bed--strangely having extra pillows makes me feel a lot more like a grown up.

Kitchen fun

This spatula and Addy are best buds.

Swinging

We think she's saying "doggie" in this one
