A Gloriously Normal Week at Home

Another reason Costco is awesome--double-wide carts big enough to take a "nap" and "wake up!" several times over.

A view of the planetarium from our awesome parking spot--closest one available!

Addy and S

This activity was a favorite: press the different colored buttons to prepare the rocket for a launch

The mars rover. Addy sat in that position when there was one kid in the car. She sat in that position when there were ten kids in the car. She wasn't intimidated by a ton of kids and was kind of miffed when I pulled her off (it was getting a bit rough).

Checking out the space potty.

Getting equipment for her space mission!

Manning mission control

Back at home with her FOUR purses

Hoarding the technology toys at Jack's house. Old cell phone and ipad keyboard.

From last week--Cousin Kallista, her two boys and us melting in 70 degree weather.

A series of sad Addy shots. Pose 1.

Pose 2.

Pose 3. Can't remember why we were sad.

Found the nook in the library while I made program copies.

this video stops one circle short of Addy plowing full speed in to the blue Prince pasta display.

Feeding the "man" and the "lady" some food.

Lunch tantrum on Monday. She wouldn't eat anything on her plate (she wanted more cheese), but wouldn't let me have it either. My mom-win for the week was that she cried for about twenty minutes, but then ultimately ate everything on her plate!

Springfield plus anniversary

Walking on 8th and Jackson. Lincoln's house is the yellow one.

Original horse hair sofa owned by the Lincoln's

Kind of a failed selfie...but also kind of a success!

The doll-sized Lincoln house at the museum

Lincoln's "log cabin" on the left and the White house on the right

Some beautiful original dresses from women in society at that time

A cool four minute video showing the progress of the civil war. One second = one week. The colors and lines showed the fronts moving back and forth with the different battles. It was really interesting.

Hanging with the Lincoln's. Robert, Tad, Mary, Abraham and Willie.

All she needs to keep her interested for many more hours is a coffee mug and a red chair.

Her ticket for the merry-go-round

Waving from her horse "bucky" saying "giddy up!"

Addy was really energized that night at the hotel and was full of giggles.

Kit's Fiat rental in RI.

Plane in the old TWA regalia

If you look REALLY close you'll see hundreds of birds flying north again.

Happy to be comfortable at home.

In one of the theaters pre-gun shot sound that prompted our early departure.

The cry/laugh of the "no diaper" cry

"Let's go back to the hotel!" "ready set go"

Addy loudly letting us know that she WANTS TO GET OUT of the stroller, which we of course ignored.
