Dad came home from CA!

One of Addy's favorite rooms at the Kohl's children's museum--the baby room. Feed a baby, clothe a baby, wash a baby, read the baby a story, put the baby to bed, weigh a baby, give the baby a shot, test the baby's reflexes.

Addy-sized Sears tower

Trains were a hit but sharing is hard to learn at the train table

Just rocking out on the front porch

I think she's trying to blend in with her purple blankie

Storytime with Grandpa is the best!

Burning time and trying ti build muscle at the mall on Tuesday. Addy did not nap earlier in the day but of course fell asleep in the stroller for two hours. So we walked and walked and it ultimately resulted in two items purchased from Gap (at 70% off each!)

So Angelic though

I could look at her profile all. day. long. This is at story time.

Out to explore the frozen landscape with daddy.

Our clean-out-the-freezer chili with added quinoa (thanks Savanna!). Used up frozen pumpkin, frozen corn, frozen black-eyed peas, frozen ground turkey, frozen diced onion, fresh peppers, and canned tomatoes. I was so proud of using things from the fridge/freezer and it tasted great! I don't love chili powder so I played with the spices and we both really liked it.

This is how you get a 3' x 4' piece of particle board home in a mid-sized sedan

Our beautiful frame!

Our makeshift work area. Lawn chairs and plastic bins. (portable heater not shown)

A new favorite: "go to sleep.....wake up!!"

Jetsetting in January

Both up and running at the convention in San Fran

Very large array in Nevada

We love playdough! (for about fifteen minutes, then we're bored)

She wants to figure out the computer at the library, but hasn't quite done it yet. (Mom's not helping.)

She takes such good care of her baby and wants to make it clear that it is HER baby.

Leftover hats after Kit's birthday

Reading her favorite book (the poky little puppy) to her teddy bear

The open gym at the community center

Graveside services for Grandpa Jim in Salem

Bathtime minus the water

She did not waste time playing with grandpa

Planes at the museum of science and industry

On the Boeing plane

The U-505 sub

A little scared to go into the German sub

(mostly) unfazed by the light effects

Addy's favorite part of the weather exhibit

She actually doesn't need a museum to be entertained..just molded plastic balls on the wall.

Wants to be a farmer

Despite what this picture conveys, she really liked the cows.

The very detailed, ornate fairy castle

Notice the ring of toys around grandpa. It's not like she had fun playing with him at all...

Showing us all how to do (and count) tricep dips

Mom: Can you say "I love you"?
Addy: "No!"

Singing "Jingle Bells" (kind of)

Welcome 2016!

Addy doesn't look it, but she LOVED "Tamma's" visit (and those nice new warm socks from Tamma)

Someone likes our new pull-up bar. Kit gets both the "pulling up" and "pushing up" muscles exercised frequently.

Keeping the runny nose and coughy cough home from church Sunday morning.

Kit's birthday!  Ticket to Ride, a weather station and really warm outdoor gloves (needed to scrape off all of the Chicago ice!)

In lieu of a cake, we made birthday cookies for Addy's birthday

She is the best dinner helper!

Well, those two years went quickly! We LOVE our chatty, happy, neat, opinionated, picky, dare devil, sweet girl!

"More, please"

The light show in Wisconsin

Apparently I look drunk most of the time, according to the number of pictures that have this expression.

Lynne celebrating completing her 2015 goal of reading the bible, BOM, D&C and pearl of great price in one year.

Birthday boy with his pork, veggies, and carrot cake.

If you recall, last year Kit's birthday cake was a steep mountain with a downhill skier navigating the terrain. It was appropriate because we were in UT on Kit's birthday. This year, it's a cross-country skier. Also appropriate since we celebrated in the Midwest!

Loving the Dinosaurs at the Kenosha public museum

Looking a bit dazed from her cold at Mariano's

Sharing good taste in literature with baby Jeffry (he has the same book)

Carrot cake cross section

Handy spot to hang Kit's gift

Wearing her gloves and holding "Min-na Mouse"

Addy saw Kit doing tricep dips and promptly walked over and showed him up with hers!
