Blue, blue, blue

Addy showing off her baby brother and her blue picture.

The ultrasound technician didn't get any profiles, so all of the pictures are of his face--like a skull. She said everything looked good with the baby! whew.

The official announcement

Addy reading up in the car. She really did look at all the pictures.

The Ethan Allen dresser that we got from ReStore. It's nice and solid with great drawers.

Baby boy's finished quilt--I love it! (Front side)

(Back side)--I did all of the piecing, quilting, and binding on my machine.

Happy to be outside

Bath after her night sleeping in the nude.

This side salad (and another one just like it), completely from our garden! Arugula, radish, spinach, mesclun, baby swiss chard. Really good and yummy.

The photo booth pics from the wedding

Eating her popcorn at "Barks and Bites"--meeting all of the other dogs at Kit's office.

Addy fell asleep on Kit after her nap on Saturday--that doesn't happen too much anymore!

The Swedish Week

Back from a successful trip to Home Depot.

Ice cream rewards for a hard day's work.

Beautiful Stockholm at night.

Nearing the West coast of Greenland, too many glaciers to count.

Glad to have had a window seat for this flight!

Just to prove that Kit really was in Sweden.

Inside the Wasa factory at the quality control table.  Over 70 miles of crackers produced each day.

Even drive back to Stockholm.  The Swedish roads are new, not crowded, and cut through some very deep/dark woods.

Stockholm is truly a city on the water, inlets and boats around every corner.  And people get out and enjoy the sunshine too.  Took this during an early AM run and already the place was crawling with people on bikes or taking their boats out for the day.

In Gamla Stan, the old city part of Stockholm.

Dinner the 1st night and already a Wasa spotting, served as appetizers.

All the smoked salmon & Wasa was delicious, but this meal at a roadside stop was by far the favorite of Kit's trip.

 Lynne's brownie in a mug

Despite the 2yr old temper sessions, this girl is really a ray of sunshine!

Lynne's tabbouleh - delicious, flavorful, light fare for the time when Kit was away.

Happiness is a funny chinese hat.

20 weeks - that's officially 50% progress on growing this human!

Mothers Day feast.

Lynne hard at work on the quilt.

She wears her sunglasses at night.

Swedish radio made the drive.

Des Moines to Stockholm

In front of the Meredith offices. Meredith started out publishing gardening/farming journals, hence the spade.

Still growing!

The straight road to Des Moines. It was like being on a treadmill with corn fields. After a few hours everything still looked the same, we were thinking--have we actually gone anywhere?

World's largest truck stop

Pretty girl with her new swimsuit

Fancy Iowa state capitol building. Addy called it a "castle" and in the middle of our tour declared that she was "done with the castle."

Dolls wearing the dresses of all the first ladies at inauguration.

Old supreme court room.

Fancy law library

Senate

Zombie lab burgers and shakes. I liked my burger and Addy liked her mac and cheese.

On the rock steps watching the races

With dad's china hat--a new favorite toy

My dinners for the dinner, lemon garlic chicken and veggies, mast o khiar and tabouleh

Our vertical strawberry planted, strawberry crowns planted.

One of the shots from Kit's shoot

multi-color Saturday morning pancakes (a daddy-daughter specialty)

View from Kit's expensive seat!

Addy insisted on her "tutu" and shorts/pants twice this week.

One of the stop motion shots from the shoot.
