Illinois summer: Waterski show and raspberry pickin

Sesame Wasa with ricotta cheese, mint, and fresh figs. Yum!

Another favorite baby item of Addy's

Early to Story time, but this is the only time Addy will sit on the rug--when no other kids are there.

Opening pyramid at the Wonder Lake Ski Show!

The Ballet line--they had just done a dry dock jump start

A moment before they all let go and skied to the beach

A girl on a swivel ski (on the left side, doing a pose with her leg in the air)

Strap doubles (the man has a strap around his waist so he can use both hands to lift the girl)

Double 4-level pyramids! My favorite. Probably 35-40 people in those pyramids!

Searching for sugar snap peas

Addy wanted to munch on peas right off the vine. . . yet I can't get her to try cheesecake because it's a new food. Weird kid.

In the raspberry vines

Addy was a great helper finding the red raspberries ripe for picking.

They were delicious!

Giving dad's keys a break on the AC vent

Sunday shenanigans

Kit and Clint took a break from playing with their toys to let me take a picture.

Addy: Wow! Look at the 'key-ers"

The big pregnant lady forgot to bring chairs, so we sat on a blanket

Addy was very taken with the green tomatoes

Kit's new yogurt finding of the week

Reading "Goodnight Gorilla" to her dog Clifford. This sweet girl is ready to be a big sister!

Dock start of three strap doubles and two swivel skis

Two trios

four strap doubles couples

Addy trying to say "Uber app"

Slow-motion pre-fab pyramid dock start

Da Fourth

First stroller across the Finish Line--so proud!

The "cowboy caviar"/chickpea and black bean salsa that we brought to the 4th of July BBQ (plus my red/white/blue jello, of course)

Our non-crowded seat for the Mundelein firework show--Addy's 1st year staying up for the BOOMs

I'm not sure why we ever put this baby seat away. Perfect for reading while mom does yoga.

Ricotta mint naan + chilled pea soup

The awesome rocket Addy made at story time--it would shoot up when she blew in the straw!

The balled up hair elastic that Addy decided to stick in her ear canal.

Brookfield Zoo has very handsome giraffes

Zoos are such fun places for toddlers!

Fav pic of the trip

Toddler's first push pop. Mom Win for remembering the bib.

Addy was so excited and really still for getting her face painted. She is Daniel Tiger's number one fan, so the "Butterfly" design really didn't have a chance.

Our sleepy tiger

No news here--still pretty rotund.

"Giddy-yup hyena!"

Back to Normal

Spinach eggs and squash pancakes, 2 yr old none the wiser.  One point for mom.

Pulled out every box of baby stuff in the house/garage including recently gifted boxes from families moving out of the ward, which started the Great Clothing Tornado of 2016.  Kit doubted at times that we'd ever find the carpet again.  I didn't realize how much of Addy's stuff was either pink, had a bow, or says "I'm a girl" in some way.  We did find a smattering of things (white onesies) suitable for Baby Brother. Lynne also made a stop at Kid-to-Kid to get the boy-clothing-wagon rolling.

This girl is happiest with a new book from Grandma LuAnn for her June Birthday.

Walking the aisles at Lowes, check out that new Addy hairstyle! Addy's hair is really unruly 97% of the time.  Finally we've got enough hair to start to get creative.

Addy waking up Kit after Saturday quiet time by putting every stuffed animal inside his blanket.

Pulled out the old baby bouncer chair (which Addy LOVED when an infant).  She definitely recognizes it and may have even more fun in it now.  I'd say she's grown a little bit in the last 18 months!

Enjoying a bounce in the old chair. They should advertise that it entertains kids from 0-36 months!

Addy's new favorite vegetable... ok, make that only favorite vegetable.
