Poulsen Family Reunion 2012

Poulsen Family Reunion August 2012, Bear Lake

P.S. Turns out "Bear Lake" Utah is one of two locations being featured on a huge video-game billboard in Times Square. So we felt like we just beat the rush to vacation at this trendy locale!

Ms. Alice "Dora" Gabrielsen has a sparkling personality (Alice:"Hi Lynne"  Lynne:"Hi Alice" Alice: "Hi Lynne" Lynne: "Hi Alice" and so forth) and a beach persona that truly belongs in California--just doesn't show much in pictures. Cameras tend to bring out the expressionless face in her.

Grace found the best skipper in town and staked her claim.

Going for a rip-roaring tube ride--luckily Grace was there to keep Paul calm.

The blondies.

Gramma doing what she does best. Calming batman...

...then cleverly sticking a bottle in his mouth before he woke up. sneaky.

Dayna in yellow contraption, upper left quadrant.

Little do they know, Baby Jackson fixed the winning goal from under the table.

Proud of mom and dad for BOTH getting up on waterskis! Woo-hoo! (Ask them about their sore muscles.)
Also, Bear Lake was lovely, deep, clean, and a very pleasant temperature. Warmest it's ever been in my memory.

Grandpa Gabe in his natural habitat.

Grace was such a pleasure to spend time with this trip. We got to drive up to Bear Lake with Grace in the back seat and we had a great time! We counted church houses and temples, we looked for wildlife, sung songs, and even pulled over for an educational stop at Rick's Spring in Logan Canyon.

L-R: Lili throwing sand on Crey. Crey burying himself. CJ the multi-colored lobster.

Next time you get stuck in a sand hole you buried yourself in, make sure to call Avery and Lili to pull you out!

Someone took the time to organize the shoes at the beach.

MOOSEN (there are two, look closely)

Beautiful Utah

Investigating the Moosen.

Frozen-camera-face.

We stayed in a great cabin on the mountain southwest of the lake. We had plenty of rooms, plenty of dead animals on the walls, plenty of fun stuff (hot tub, pool, foosball, back yard), and plenty of food.

Alice, you had me at "Hi Lynne"

I remember this flying-through-the-air game. Definitely too big now...passing on to the next generation!

We left Saturday night and stayed in Huntsville before an early Sunday morning flight. We got back to our apt in NJ around 5 pm Sunday and the past week and a half felt like a dream.

I wish I took more pictures--we had a great time and wish we could have stuck around! Until next time!
