Midwest Exploring

Walking to the pool is the best part about our complex

Taking off dad's yellow hat is soooo funny

Garden radishes for our bahn mi sandwiches

Dresser coming along

Des Moines science museum

Addy might have a future in farming, especially being a mid-westerner and all.

Loved sorting produce, weighing produce, buying produce.

 Bubble maker table!

Finally, a real kitchen where her talents can come through.

Quiet day at the children's (or should we say child's) museum.

Dinner @ Fong's in Des Moines - Dad's pizza w/ bacon, Addy's plate with toy pig.

Des Moines - Actually not a bad town!

Hey Chicago, what da ya say, Cubs are gonna win today!

View of the Gold Coast from top of ferris wheel.

Almost high-enough to cause a nosebleed, but the sound was still incredible.

 Doing the Addy Dance.

Pool time.

Childless & driving to the city.

Wrigley - that is the top row behind us, but because the place is so small we could still see great.

The hometeam won for once - a first in our marriage!

Looking south from Navy Pier, the Chicago lakefront really is something special.

Two teenagers at lagoon, or old married people in Chicago?  You be the judge.

Checking out Eataly - the cheese wheel aisle smelled amazing!

Reading packages as usual when in a grocery store.

Train ride to Chinatown.

Dim Sum at Cai in Chinatown.  Kit couldn't be happier that I actually like this kind of food!

Rice noodle w/ beef; Shrimp & chive dumplings; BBQ pork buns; Mushroom congee

A few highlights from the Art Institute of Chicago

The guard lady stopped us walking by, took Lynne's phone, posed us, then sent us on our merry way.

Venus de Milo - with drawers... and pompoms.  Salvador Dali's sculpture.

Dinner at Gilt - favorite dish definitely the Burrata / Apricot toast.

Glazed & Infused doughnut shop.
