Camping in Wisconsin

Tin foil dinner prep. New this year, mushrooms, brussels, red pepper (+turkey, onion, potato, carrot, sweet potato). Good additions! (Not shown--cream of mushroom soup.)

Snacks!

 (1) Addy puts this hat on her head whenever she can.
(2) This face doesn't get pictured a lot, but it's real life, and it happens many times a day.

Everything tastes better when you're camping.

As you can tell, this girl takes strawberries very seriously.

Wanted an ergobaby for a long time, found a sweet deal on Zulily!

Preparing mentally for the race.

Now she's ready.

Addy loves standing exactly underneath you.

Beautiful ponderosa pine forest

Lynne cruising into the 10k finish.

That's the race organizer guy in blue, can you see the shadow cast by his quads?

Lynne resting it out post-race.

Cups are pretty much the favorite toy of the whole camping trip.

Lynne - finisher #14, solidly in the middle of the pack!

Burton family above Devil's Lake.  Addy's keeping a sharp lookout for the devil.

Great cliffs/bluffs above this glacial lake.  So glad to finally see something resembling mountains!

Taking a break at the half way point.

Ready for food now.

"Climbing mountains is exhausting." - Addy

Addy is already trained on selfie-taking.

There's the balanced rock for which the trail is named.

Waiting on the trail, just before the leg injury.

 Walking back to the campsite.

Luxury.  Can you tell we used to live near the beach?

Addy loved the air mattress.

She be sitting, and kept just tipping over to feel herself bounce on the mattress.

Just waking up from the cold night.

Daddy/Addy mini hike while Lynne was racing.

Looking back on the lake after completing the hike.

We did it!

"Dad.  I'm waiting...."

Are you guys seeing this?!?

 Mud lake near the campsite.

Penguin PJs with kicks.  You can tell she was born in the fashion capitol of the world.

We're home!
